I’m on my way!

Feeling very optimistic about my work – something I’ve not felt for a long time but I feel I know where I’m going. I went into uni today with plenty to do but realised I hadn’t the resources I needed so I looked to see who was about so I could get on with my piece of the day. I found Claire in her studio space painting so asked if I could join her.  On looking through a selection of stitches she chose the open lace rib one, her choice being based on “I like the gap between them, variation as to what’s there, it reminds me of something but I don’t know what…………………………………….. oh yes, in the forest, the gap in the trees” I found this interesting as Claire’s paintings are in response to the outdoors.

Here we are, busy working away – well, I’m taking it easy as usual!.

In the afternoon I was able to resolve several concerns about my work after talking through my ideas with a fellow student.
