Workshop day

Today I was at Butetown History & Arts Centre running a workshop in bookmaking for the Women’s Art Association. There were eight of us all together and I really enjoyed the day. I demonstrated 3 types of  books in the morning and Deborah Leeke – a fibre artist as well as book maker – introduced us to art journalling using redundant books. I certainly had fun.

The stitch in the evening was obvious – triangle with lace hypotenuse – as it looked just like the folding for the lotus fold book we’d made earlier.
