Spring cleaning

I started this morning by cleaning out my work room. It had got into such a pickle and was becoming more of a dumping ground than a calm space in which to work. I chucked out papers, magazines, catalogues that had been sitting unlooked at on shelves for years. Although the exercise was pleasurable – being reminded of past visits I know I can’t keep all this ‘stuff’. I saw a television programme about a man who hoarded newspapers to such an extent he couldn’t use several of his rooms. It was a warning to me!
This stitch is raised rib – I like the contrast between the solid stockinette stitch and the open lace sides.
