Walking along Richmond Road where the bright yellow leaves are turning to a skiddy mush on the pavement. There is a strong smell of tar (Wright’s Coal Tar Soap – also bright yellow) coming from the repair on the footpath. Loud music blasting out from a car, I can feel the bass beat through my body. The air is damp, not quite drizzle, and very mild.
