I’m waiting outside the museum in the autumn sun. There is a fourteen spotted ladybird crawling on the sandstone plinth I’m sitting on. A coach is revving its engines, tainting the air with the smell of diesel as well as drowning out all the other sounds. Couples and single people are also waiting on the steps and I’m wondering if F will make our 2 o’clock appointment.
